The Writer's Life

Check out the author who created this great video here. I read the first chapter from one of his books, The City Within. Intriguing!

Happy Friday, everyone!

  3. Going through the first few stages myself right now and I'm so happy to know I'm not alone. Seeing it all in the video was perfect. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Very good! I can't believe that author is younger than me--makes me slightly crazy. :)

  7. LOL, Liberty. The day always comes when that happens to us somehow somewhere. The first time your doctor is younger than you. The first time a cop who is younger than you pulls you over... (NOT that this has EVER happened to me or someone I love! :P) etc.

  8. Oh, that was brilliant! Currently entering the deep, dark, dangerous woods of editing... so much red ink... everywhere... I can't get it off my hands! ;)

Also somewhere between stages two and three for my second book. Stage one was covered by the first book.

  9. Hang in there, Eric! You can make it out the other side of those word-munching woods! :)

    And congrats on book 2!

  10. I loved this piece--though he could've done a better job miming the act of writing than waving his hands manically in a general region just below the frame.

The dream sequences, however, nailed it. It really was a frighteningly accurate portrayal of a writer's psychological profile during the process of plying the craft. (I'm suddenly not so excited about getting to the editing stage of my book now. . . .)

    Thanks for sharing this, Kathryn.
